Holy Thursday

Darkness of the night has set in,
threatening what little light remains;
yet the light, whose name is Christ,
approaches his Father in prayer.

In this discourse between souls,
is where The Trinity unites;
and joins together as One.

The name of obedience remains strong,
by the love of The Disobedient One;
who reads Thoreau in her free time.

Satan is poised against him,
as he is poised against his Father;
but she is fighting by his side.

Drawn into sorrow, even unto death,
she has kissed his feet;
and wiped them with her tears.

She would die a thousand deaths,
for just one hair from his head;
enough to say, "he loves me."

It is she who gives him strength,
yet remains the hidden one;
as he goes forth into his glory.

This was her choice,
only because it pleases him;
this is her craving,
from the beginning of the world,
where it is written,
"thy desire shall be unto thy husband."
