Matthew 7:15
Truth is a grain of sand
which irritates the oyster;
if you not take the truth,
which testifies against you,
then there is no beauty in you.
The truth bears witness against you,
for we are all sinners;
and our wretchedness is known to God.
In the light of the truth,
our miseries are exposed;
and as we show God our sins,
He is able to remove them.
Those who bury their sins,
and try to cover them up;
these are like Cain,
who killed his brother, Abel,
then when asked by God,
"where is your brother,"
he responded,
"I do not know."
We are all guilty before God,
but if we expose our shame;
rather than hiding it behind fig leaves,
as Adam and Eve were found doing,
if we come naked before God,
saying the sinner's prayer,
then our words are justified.
Those who wear righteous cloth,
in order to hide their filth;
these are wolves, wolves, wolves.
